Project Overview

Working in partnership with CPC Civils on behalf of Severn Trent Water, our team is currently undertaking a high-level visual and tactile inspection of the dam’s stonework.

Constructed in 1882, Vyrnwy Dam is regarded as one of the first large masonry dams in Britain. The Grade I listed structure spans approximately 358 metres and is capable of holding over 64 billion litres of water, making it a critical component of the region’s infrastructure.

Supporting Regional Water Supply

The reservoir plays a vital role in supplying water to areas across Cheshire and Liverpool. As such, maintaining the integrity of the structure is essential to ensuring continued service and safety for the communities it supports.

Specialist Expertise

With extensive experience working on Grade I listed structures, our team is delivering the inspection safely, efficiently, and to a consistently high standard. Works are progressing well, with further updates to be shared as the project develops.
