As a specialist access contracting company, the move for Vertical Access Limited into training was a relatively logical one. The chance to utilise experience gained in the field meant that the training was from a practical basis and that as a company we could gain from staff prepared for working in the locations that we encounter daily.

The mainstay to our training are the industrial rope access courses that we run and these were the first courses that we set up, initially to train staff internally. It soon became apparent that there was demand for courses to be run on a commercial basis and we now run courses on a regular basis for companies or individuals.

As the contracting side of the company progressed we increasingly found that we had to utilise different methods of access and take appropriate safety precautions. With this diversification we found that there was a need for training in setting up access and safety systems for one off locations, yet the courses available appeared only to cater for the ideal locations. We now offer courses in all aspects of safe working at heights.
