No experience is necessary to take the IRATA Level 1 course. The course provides
each candidate with the knowledge to become a basic rope access technician in 5 days.
As a Level 1 qualified rope access technician you will be capable of carrying out
all the fundamental rope manoeuvres and basic rescue techniques together with an
awareness of the IRATA guidelines. A Level 1 technician can carry out most site works
but these are generally carried out under the close supervision of a higher level
operative.
Our trainers are chosen for their on site experience as well their ability to teach
therefore you will benefit directly from their experience. All Vertical Access rope
access courses are designed with a practical bias to train you to be able to work
safely and efficiently within the rope access industry.
If used with other qualifications, such as trade certificates, then the potential
for work will be enhanced, giving operatives the opportunity to prove themselves
in this challenging industry.
The training venue utilises structural steelwork up to 15 metres high which resembles
many industrial locations to ensure that training prepares you for the work that
you will encounter. The venue is indoor and so is not weather dependent with the
following facilities on site:
Cafeteria
Showers
Changing facilities
All personal protective equipment will be provided.
